Black Cat Pizza Announces Location
Aug 20, 2018
Throughout the summer, Jaime Fernandez has been selling pizza out of the Stir Crazy Baked Goods kitchen on late nights and Monday evenings. Come early 2019, Black Cat Pizza will have a home of its own in the 401 Bryan Avenue building.
Jaime fell in love with cooking while watching his mom and grandmother in the kitchen growing up in Central Mexico. He learned classical French techniques at La Cordon Bleu in Austin, then came to Fort Worth and started mixing all those influences into his pizza. Specials have included the Al Pastor (achiote pork, serranos, pineapple, lime, and cilantro) and the TMNT (pesto, feta, arugula, kale, zucchini, pepitas, green onion, and marcona almonds).
Jaime hopes to offer something unique to the South Main Village neighborhood by staying open late and selling pizza by the slice. His neighbors will include Funky Picnic Brewery & Cafe in an adaptive reuse historic building being restored by Jennifer Neil Farmer and Robb Farmer of F5 Design Build.
In the meantime, Black Cat pizza will continue to be available at Stir Crazy throughout the fall on Fridays from 11 pm - 1:30 am and Mondays from 5-9 pm every weekend EXCEPT on September 10 & 14, October 4, and November 23.
