Life has been creative ever since I can remember. Through a combination of passion, creativity and the obstacles life has given me - I quickly turned to a therapy involving acrylics, oil and mixed media. My paintings range from loud and bright, to dark and sinister, but always leaning towards realistic. I always keep a dream-like essence to them and involve contrasting color. My work reflects an interest in learning to paint nature, landscapes, the human body, and facial structures. While what I do is definitely abstract, it’s very important to me to pin point and practice techniques of realism.
After having my son, I decided to transform what I was doing into a career. Through the past five years I’ve been able to expand to a wider audience. The drawings for friends I was doing on college ruled paper, turned into personal requests for paintings and tattoos. I have done a number of commissions, each and every one has been customized personally and pertains to the individual client. We collaborate ideas, and the personal details they would like incorporated, and they let me create. All the while, showing my work in local Dallas and Fort Worth art shows too. My immediate goals are to continue on to galleries, and larger scale shows or festivals. My long term goals include expanding my audience and create works that will be of inspiration and passion, globally.
