As the train chugged down the tracks and the Oregon landscape breezed by the dining car in April of 2015, little did I know I was about to run headlong into a new passion. While visiting friends in Portland for a long weekend and wandering the aisle in a local art store, a book on urban sketching caught my attention. The style of the art captured my attention and after researching inks, pens, sketchbooks and watercolors, I put my first sketch to paper. Using pen, ink and watercolor and from a house, to a shoe to local landmarks, I am inspired by and my work seeks to capture the beauty in spaces, places and everyday things. My work has been displayed at Art Works Downtown in San Rafael, Ca. Currently I work as a sign artist at Trader Joe's.
