After years of searching for my true artistic passion, I’ve finally found a technique I love: finger painting. With this method, the paint goes directly from the tube onto the canvas. There is no mixing of color beforehand—it is all done on the canvas—so the paint must be very amenable to being swirled and layered together with my fingers.

I’m aware that some artists are put off by this kind of immediacy, but it’s ideal for me. It’s a way of painting that I find vastly satisfying, perfectly natural, and even intuitive. It’s as if the paintings guide me into doing exactly what needs to be done. To sum it up, finger painting just makes me incredibly happy.
