Creativity bottled for thirty years that suddenly decides to free itself can lead to prolific output with a style reminiscent of the period prior to the hiatus but is now coupled with experience and wisdom one accumulates through life. The art I create comes from explorations of consciousness, pop culture, movement, and color. I use media that are personally challenging and which I was never trained. Acrylic paints allow for pieces with movement and texture while illustrations colored with ink and alcohol markers hit the viewer with an array of color and complexity that many can't look away from. These stylistic characteristics and influences come from a variety of extraordinary visionary, psychedelic, pop and abstract artists such as Alex Grey, Peter Max, and Heinz Edelmann. I am not limited to only these styles or media and the sheer thrill of creating with anything available is something I will continue to do.
