Sallie Rody will be selling her hand-made, tie-dye socks and bandanas, while the public can make FREE tissue paper flowers. The Southside Pirate was born at the end of 2012 as an underground, local music stream as the Rody's applied with the Federal Communications Commission for a LPFM (low power FM) frequency in the Near Southside to serve Fort Worth. With a Booty Box at Avoca Coffee on Magnolia, local muscians from DFW of all genres have submitted all kinds of music to THE PIRATE for airplay. In January of 2015, the FCC approved Fort Worth first frequency for a community station at 97.5 FM, then in February of that same year the Federal non-profit 501(c)3 designation was granted, followed by our State approval in June of 2017. KFTW is Fort Worth's only community station committed to offering local music and programming as well as access for our listeners as an edudcational station.
