My experience as a professional artist, includes more than 20 years of working in the field of art ranging from graphic design, display design, recreational therapy, fine art, to teaching art and everything in between. I am well versed in many disciplines of art. Currently, I have been married for 27 years and my family has been the inspiration for much of my artwork and the driving force behind my career.  I feel my artwork represents daily genre from still-lifes to portraiture.  I have painted many murals and produced many commissioned artworks for both private and public collections in New York, Oklahoma, and Texas. My artwork has been in numerous art shows, one of my artworks was auctioned and sold at the Philips de Pury auction house in N.Y. in 2006 to benefit the New York Academy of Art.  Another artwork was published in the Oklahoma Today magazine in 2002. I obtained a Bachelors of Fine Art at Cameron University in Lawton, O.K in 2002. Immediately following, I was accepted into the graduate program at the New York Academy of Art in New York, N.Y. and completed my Masters of Fine Art degree in 2004. Additionally, the New York Academy of Art is a world-renowned nationally accredited private graduate school where students are hand picked.  At the academy, I was taught classical techniques with an emphasis in figurative studies. While working on my graduate degree I also completed my student teaching. To further my education, I attended several professional workshops and completed my State of Texas Teaching Certificate. I was fortunate to have studied privately under the direction of other accomplished artists. I have taught all levels of art from children to adults.  I am someone who is always seeking new art opportunities with art competitions, art shows, and the promotion of my artwork. My professional goal is to be an active part in art education and continue to develop a professional art career as an artist. As an art educator, I promote a more advanced knowledge about art education and the importance of art in education.  Currently, I am a full time art educator and professional artist.
