I make unique fine art from repurposed glass bottles, vases, mirrors, stained glass and any other glass I happen to run across. Using a variety of colors, patterns and textures each piece is a shimmering unique work of art catching and reflecting colored light rays. Pictures simply can not capture the beauty of the glass. Many pieces include hand crushed and hand stained glass made in my studio. Some include vintage jewelry and other small collectable items.
My canvas work is on high quality gallery wrapped canvas and look wonderful hung without a frame as the painted artwork wraps the piece. My new wood designs have been very popular. I create my wood canvases using old weathered wood which I cut, sand, stain, and paint to achieve the desired woodgrain for the individual piece's background.
After finalizing each piece's design I hand sand the sharp glass edges before adhereing to the canvas to protect curious fingers from cuts and damage to canvas. Multiple layers of clear artist resin seal the entire piece and protect it from dust and water damage.
Jagged Glass Art proudly supports local charites. I shop for glass at many area charity storefronts with most of my glass purchased from a local domestic abuse shop supporting a shelter for victims of violence.
