In the Christmas television special Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, you are introduced to the Island of Misfit Toys; an island sanctuary for the defective and unwanted. We meet a Charlie in the Box, a Bird Fish, a cowboy that rides an ostrich, all out of place, unwanted, but unique.

My goal is to create works that celebrate the qualities of the misfit toys in their humor, honesty, and individuality.
