My work is an experimental mix of surrealism, illustration, and symetric attributes tied in by dark visuals. The art is heavily influenced by pop culture as well as the horror genre and Hispanic culture. I switch my color pallets from dark and gloomy to bold and vibrant depending on the mood of the painting. The creative process starts with rough sketches that are later flushed out and detailed using real world references and people around me. I create out of the need for self expression and individuality independent from the norms of mainstream art. Generally for those who see beauty in the darker side of life while still maintaining a lighter side alive. I incorporate my own views and ideology as well as aim to provide a type of social commentary of the world and the psychology of man. Inspired by illustrators and dark arts as well as music and photography. The purpose of my art is to create an as the asthetically pleasing work that encourages opens dialog and open mindedness regarding the ideas and ideology contained within those paintings if someone is willing to analize not only the visual but the underlying themes.
