I am a West Texas kid. To be a little more specific I am a Texas Panhandle kid. Only someone who grew up in the panhandle will appreciate the difference. I love staring into the distance and watching the sun rise and set with nothing in the way. I love watching the storms coming down off the Rocky mountains when they are still a hundred miles off. I love summer evenings when the heat breaks and the wind stills. I have set out on the plains all night watching the milky way move across the sky and just the thought of that gives me goosebumps. As I have grown older I have included in the places I love deep East Texas and far Northern New Mexico. Flowers and streams and mountain scenes always get my attention. When I close my eyes at night I see these visions played over and over in my head and I love it.
