FARIDA is a professional henna artist with more than 30 years experience distilling down this ancient art form into her own iconic style and expanding it into designing silk pashminas, and creating hand painted t-shirts. Farida is meticulous in her work even though her art and style flow freely from her stream of consciousness. Her art gives her enormous satisfaction and the appreciation of it is often more lasting and sustained. Through her art Farida hand paints t-shirts in traditional vintage henna motif style and she does the basic drawings for her pashminas to which 40 artisan families bring form and function weaving them on tapestry looms into beautiful silk pashminas.
