Amy (Bush) Behrens, born and raised in the surrounding areas of Fort Worth, now resides in Arlington, TX with her husband and two spirited boys. She is a self-taught artist and photographer with a creative soul. Recently, she has returned to school to pursue a degree in psychology and English, following her dreams of helping others, teaching and opening an art gallery of her own.

Artistically she is exploring the varied perceptions and techniques to create dramatic expressions in her creations.  Photography is only one of many mediums she uses to communicate and represent her journey and experiences. She is always conceptualizing new ways to encompass deeper dimension and significance to her work. She loves finding novel ways to depict her conceptions, and pushing the everyday ideal of how things should be socially and in art. Photographically, she enjoys capturing nature’s surplus of critters and scenic abundance, artistic portraiture, nightscapes, long exposure adventures and misadventures, and more recently, the human condition and all it implies.  Some of these captured moments are driven by a theme, while others are a collage of parallel motifs over several adventures, with a story to be told. These pieces, individually, are powerful but in a series they take you on a journey. The world is full of raw beauty, possibilities and adventures. Share her sense of wonder through all art and the written word as she invites all with a welcoming heart to her artistic perception of life and creative pursuits.
